Geometrie inderogabili e spazi obbedienti a logiche rigorose. Forme e misure disciplinate secondo rigide definizioni cartesiane che formano immagini di conturbante freddezza e rese ancor più sorprendenti dalla giovane età (25 anni) della talentuosa fotografa ungherese Noell Oszvald. Metafisica minimalista. I corpi dialogano con lo spazio e dentro la sua nudità con un linguaggio che riflette solitudine e struggimento mentre un sincretismo formale ne amalgama le identità. E lo spirito. Non c’è scampo: le figure femminili (il leit motiv di Oszvald) appaiono intrappolate in un quadro che ne imprigiona l‘essenza fino ad assorbirne le sembianze. E anche quando viene concessa una momentanea deroga, quando cioè la composizione scivola appena in un surrealismo temperato che di onirico non ha nulla, subito riacquista il respiro della concretezza lineare: nel lavoro di Noell Oszvald le realtà spaziale e fisica si intrecciano e si fondono fino a formare un quadro omogeneo e coerente, proponendosi come soluzione “altra” alle problematiche dell’uomo e il suo ambiente. L’osservatore è invitato all’ordine per scoprire che c’è ordine anche nel malessere, nel disagio, dentro il vortice muto di un caos statico e freddo. Ma tutto obbedisce alla forma. A lei si piega come a un ordine non emendabile e che obbliga il soggetto a mantenere un portamento sincrono all’ambiente, una postura compatibile con le coordinate assegnate. Ecco dunque una fotografia in grado di svelare in sé l’arcano, quella in cui una giovane donna dormiente, chinata su un braccio si conforma alla linea distante di un’isola. Qui il “tutt’uno” è la chiave interpretativa di quanto Oszvald vuole dirci: l’uomo non è altro da ciò che lo circonda, egli stesso ne è parte consustanziale. E questo tema trova forza nella fotografia in cui un’altra giovane donna è superata dalle ali di un uccello: le due figure appaiono distanti ma l’ombra tradisce una natura comune. E se non bastasse ecco i nettissimi chiaroscuri, le arditissime ambivalenze cromatiche, le precise divisioni areali e le costruzioni spaziali accorrere in supporto della sua tesi in un rispettosissimo gioco volumetrico che è anche concettuale.
Noell Oszvald è rigidissima nel non concedersi nessuna scorciatoia stilistica e in questo, considerata la sua giovane età, noi cogliamo carattere e determinazione, qualità inderogabili qualora si intenda intraprendere un percorso che voglia esprimere un linguaggio personale.

Indispensable geometries and obedient spaces with rigorous logic. Forms and measures regulated according to strict Cartesian definitions that form images of disturbing coldness and made even more surprising by the young age (25 years) of the talented Hungarian photographer Noell Oszvald.
Minimalist metaphysics. The bodies dialogue with the space and within its nudity with a language that reflects loneliness and yearning while a formal syncretism amalgamates its identities. And the spirit. There is no escape: the female figures (the leit motiv of Oszvald) appear to be trapped in a painting that imprisons its essence to absorb its appearance.
And even when a momentary derogation is granted, that is when the composition just slips into a temperate surrealism that has nothing dreamlike, it immediately regains the breath of linear concreteness: in the Noell Oszvald’s work the spatial and physical realities intertwine and merge to form a homogeneous and coherent framework, proposing itself as an "other" solution to the problems of man and his environment.
The observer is invited to the order to discover that there is order also in malaise, in discomfort, in the silent vortex of a static and cold chaos. But everything obeys the form. To her she bends as a non-amendable order and that obliges the subject to maintain a synchronous bearing to the environment, a posture compatible with the assigned coordinates.
Here, then, is a photograph capable of unveiling the arcane in itself, the one in which a sleeping young woman, bent over an arm, conforms to the distant line of an island. Here the "all" one is the interpretative key of what Oszvald wants to tell us: man is not other than what surrounds him, he himself is part of it consubstantial. And this theme finds strength in photography in which another young woman is overcome by the wings of a bird: the two figures appear distant but the shadow betrays a common nature. And if this were not enough, here are the very clear chiaroscuro, the boldest chromatic ambivalences, the precise area divisions and the spatial constructions to come to support his thesis in a highly respectful volumetric game that is also conceptual.
Noell Oszvald is very rigid in not allowing himself any stylistic shortcut and in this, considering his young age, we grasp character and determination, imperative qualities if we intend to undertake a path that wants to express a personal language.
