Se avete fede fate attenzione a usare violenza sulla vostra compagna perché, come recita il Talmud, “Dio conta le lacrime delle donne” e una volta al suo cospetto sarete giudicati per quello che avete fatto. Se non avete fede fate ugualmente attenzione, le leggi contro la violenza sulle donne vi colpiranno duramente. Per voi non c’è nascondiglio capace di offrire un riparo sicuro.
Le donne non si toccano. Mai.
“Femminicidio” è la definizione – correttissima – di un crimine commesso dall’uomo sulla donna e benché l’equazione sia chiarissima la definizione in Italia ha trovato qualche dissenso, come se non si potesse accettare un preciso recinto, un ambito penalmente rilevante che inchioda l’uomo alle sue responsabilità. E infatti l’introduzione del reato di femminicidio nel nostro codice penale è stato salutato da politici e legulei come un caso di “populismo penale”, una risposta frettolosa all’emergenza, dimenticando che, dati alla mano, invece è una violenza strutturale e che matura in larghissima parte nell’ambito famigliare. L’uomo insomma desidera l’impunità o quantomeno che attorno al delitto da lui commesso scivoli l’attenuante di una supremazia sperimentata ed esercitata da secoli.
Il problema è trasversale. Non c’è ambito della società di ogni parte del mondo che ne sia esclusa. Qui come altrove, tutte le società hanno in comune il degrado morale, come la consapevolezza che la vita di una donna valga meno e che se pertanto l’uomo vede contestato il suo ruolo dominante (noi la chiameremo “perdita dell’identità”) può usare il genere di violenza che più gli aggrada.
Il fotografo italo-argentino Karl Mancini ha documentato in immagini le donne di una comunità argentina colpite dalla violenza maschile. Le donne che vediamo sono le più fortunate, le altre non esistono più, sono morte. Il progetto “Ni una menos” (Non una di meno) è anche il nome di un’associazione che raduna e offre protezione alle donne che hanno subito violenza dal proprio partner. Nei volti femminili cogliamo una topografia della violenza, corpi umiliati, violati, devastati da maltrattamenti, da brutalità. I loro occhi, le loro espressioni raccontano la furia insensata cui sono state soggette e insieme lo sconforto e il disinganno per un crimine consumato da chi, una volta spento il cuore, ha lasciato che a parlare di sé fosse il mostro tenuto sotto pelle.
La serie “Ni una menos” è necessaria. Per noi uomini, in particolare, perché possiamo osservare di cosa siamo capaci, di quale violenza siamo in grado di sviluppare una volta dismessa la ragione. E dunque le fotografie (da molte delle quali Mancini fa trasparire un pudore e una sensibilità ammirevole, mentre nelle altre l’inevitabile effetto della brutalità non può e non dev’essere nascosta) parlano a noi, di noi; e come uno specchio spietato ci riflettono quanto sa albergare nell’animo umano. “Ni una menos” è un monito, un civile e doveroso grido femminile e noi speriamo che si sparga come una fortissima eco, perché di donne su questo pianeta non ce ne sia una di meno.

In short, man desires impunity or at least that around the crime he committed he slips the mitigating of a supremacy experienced and exercised for centuries. The problem is transversal. There is no area of society in every part of the world that is excluded from it. Here as elsewhere, all societies have in common the moral degradation, as the awareness that the life of a woman is worthless and that if therefore the man sees contested its dominant role (we will call it "loss of identity") can use the kind of violence that best suits him. Italo-Argentine photographer Karl Mancini has documented in pictures the women of an Argentine community affected by male violence. The women we see are the luckiest, the others do not exist anymore, they are dead. The project "Ni una menos" (Not one less) is also the name of an association that gathers and offers protection to women who have suffered violence from their partner. In the female faces we grasp a topography of violence, bodies humiliated, violated, devastated by mistreatment, by brutality. Their eyes, their expressions tell the senseless fury to which they were subjected together, and the discomfort and disillusionment with a crime consumed by those who, once the heart has been extinguished, has allowed the monster to be talked about under the skin. The series "Ni una menos" is necessary. For us men, in particular, because we can observe what we are capable of, what violence we are able to develop once the reason has been abandoned. So the photographs (from many of which Mancini reveals a modesty and an admirable sensitivity, while in others the inevitable effect of brutality can not and should not be hidden) speak to us, about us; and as a ruthless mirror they reflect what they know to harbor in the human soul. "Ni una menos" is a warning, a civil and dutiful feminine cry and we hope that it spreads like a very strong echo, because there are not a women less on this planet.
